Culture Explorer, created by Samsung Electronics Singapore, is a location-based augmented reality app that functions like your own virtual tour guide. Use it to explore heritage landmarks in Singapore and learn more about Singapore’s unique culture and heritage.

It is built upon the real, physical world by displaying information overlays and digital contents tagged to the physical objects and locations.

Takes advantage of your phone or tablet’s camera to look up heritage landmarks in Singapore including:

• National Museum of Singapore

• Singapore Botanic Gardens

• Victoria Theatre & Victoria Concert Hall

Watch how these landmarks have evolved over the years with the ‘Time Travel’ feature. You can also have some fun by overlaying images from your gallery or camera onto the historical images to create a picture ‘taken’ during a time in history. Share a message or a photo with your friends or fellow Culture Explorer users using the ‘Message Board’ feature.

Culture Explorer also offers a navigation function using Google MapsTM which allows you to map your current location to the selected heritage landmarks.
