The Countdown Timer performs a simple function in a simple and stylish user interface package: anyone who has ever set a real electronic clock will find the controls immediately familiar.

- The screen is prevented from sleeping if the app is running in the foreground.

- A constant notification with a progress bar if the app is running in the background.

The only permission needed is access to the SD card for the purpose of selecting custom alarm sounds.
