At Keele University School of Medicine, we pride ourselves with providing competent and useful feedback to our medical students during their placements. The Workplace Assessor app allows a student to use their own device as an assessment tool either during a patient consultation or performing medical procedures with a patient.

The assessment principle involving the Workplace Assessor is that the user of the app would initially hand over their device to their assessor, who then assesses their skills and abilities during the consultation or procedure. The Workplace Assessor app not only allows peer assessments but self assessments as well, allowing the user to give themselves a review of how they perceived their own performance during the consultation or procedure.
