தியாகபூமி கல்கி எழுதிய சமூகப் புதினங்களுள் ஒன்று. ஆனந்த விகடனில் இருபது இதழ்களில் தொடராக வெளிவந்தது. கல்கி இப் புதினத்தில் நிகழ்ச்சிகள் மூலமாகவும், கதைமாந்தர் வாயிலாகவும் காந்தியக் கருத்துகளை வெளியிட்டு உள்ளார். 1938-1939 களில் இப்புதினம் கோடை, மழை, பனி, இளவேனில் என நான்கு பாகங்களாக வெளிவந்தது. தீண்டாமை, பெண்விடுதலை, மது விலக்கு, விடுதலைச் சிந்தனை ஆகிய கருத்துகளடங்கிய இப்புதினம் திரைப்படமாகவும் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டது. அப்படம் ஆங்கிலேயரால் தடை செய்யப்பட்டுப் பின் தடை விலக்கப்பட்டது.

இந்தப் புதினத்தின் முக்கிய அம்சங்களில் ஒன்று, கல்கி ஒவ்வொரு கதாபாத்திரத்தின் எண்ணங்களையும் அவரவர் பார்வையிலிருந்து சொல்லியிருக்கிறார். நடைமுறைச் சமுதாயத்தில் காணப்படும் யதார்த்தமான பாத்திரங்களையே தமது புதினத்தில் கல்கி இடம் பெறச் செய்துள்ளார். இக்கதையை அவசியம் அனைவரும் படித்துப் பாருங்கள்.

This is another classic novel, called Dhiyaga Boomi, by Kalki Ra Krishnamurthy, one of the greatest modern tamil writer of our ages. We don't have to explain anything about kalki & his works... Its well known to everyone.
