The Aadhaar card has surely become one of the most essential document for validating a person’s identity. Since it contains record of the cardholder’s bio metric details, it is important to be cautious about all this information.

While enrolling for Aadhaar card, applicants are required to provide their fingerprints and iris scan to the government database.

This bio metric information is used for verification in order to avail benefits and services. But now Aadhaar card holders details can now lock their bio metric details to prevent hackers from stealing their data.

When you get an Aadhar card, you also give the government your fingerprint and retinal scan data. This is called bio metric data. Your bio metric data can be used for Aadhaar verification by name, which means that when you submit an Aadhaar card as a proof of identity to get a SIM card, you can use your fingerprint to allow the telecom company to access your identity information.

By doing this, it can quickly authenticate the ID, speeding up things like KYC verification.
