For example, in Switzerland it is called Swiss National Day, in Singapore it is called National Day of Singapore, in Pakistan – Youm-e-Azaadi which means Pakistan Day of Freedom, in South Korea – Gwangbokjeol (South Korea Liberation Day), in Indonesia – Proklamasi Kemerdekaan (Proclamation of Indonesian Independence) and in Malaysia it is called Selamat Hari Merdeka. In Mexico, it is called Grito de Dolores which means Cry of Dolores, not to be confused with Cinco de Mayo. In Vietnam, it’s called Ngay Quoc Khanh (National Day), Brazil – Dia da Independencia, Chile – Fiestas Patrias, and Bulgaria – Nezavisimost na Balgaria.
