📌 Basic Rules

♔ The goal is to checkmate the opponent's king.

⚪ White always moves first.

🔁 Players take turns moving one piece per turn.

♞ Piece Movements

♙ Pawn: Moves forward 1 square (2 on first move); attacks diagonally.

♘ Knight: Moves in an L-shape; can jump over other pieces.

♗ Bishop: Moves diagonally any number of squares.

♖ Rook: Moves straight horizontally or vertically.

♕ Queen: Moves in all directions any number of squares.

♔ King: Moves 1 square in any direction.
