The Rosary is divided into five decades. Each decade represents a mystery or event in the life of Jesus. There are four sets of Mysteries of the Rosary (Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious). The Holy Rosary, also known as the Dominican Rosary, or simply the Rosary, refers to a form of prayers used in the Catholic Church and to the string of knots or beads used to count the component prayers.
