Description

The mobile application will be a complement to the bizbook online product @ www.bizbook.mu. It will take some of the functionalities of the web platform and couple it with the possibilities offered by smartphones to create a new product. The target Mobile platform will be Android and IOS.

The biggest advantage of the mobile application it is anywhere everywhere 24/7 accessibility.

Search

The search functionality is based on the following:

Company name

Categories: Which will autocomplete as and when the user type the category name.

Town/Village

Phone number

oSo many time people write telephone numbers in some piece of paper and forget to what it relates.

Around Me

This functionality of the bizbook mobile app is based on context awareness of the mobile user. It uses the GPS function of the user to locate his position and search the database for companies nearest to him. The user will again be able to search by:

Category

Company name

And Keywords.

In the around me function, some popular categories are directly listed. The categories are categories that are highly searched such as restaurants, hospital etc.

The around me function will be much used by expat in Botswana and tourist also. Bizbook will undertake necessary marketing campaigns to make people at large and tourist aware of the mobile application which will be available as free downloads from the apps stores.

Get Quote

It happens so often that people are badly looking for something, the run right and left for same without actually finding or buying what they are looking for. There are other who think about buying but just thinking about going to look for this everywhere in congested traffic, they just drop the idea. The end result is a frustrated person and a potential missed sales for a company offering the services or products.

Here is the scenario: Someone is looking for a 3D Head gear for game playing. He will just take out his mobile, go to get quote and select category Electronic / Gaming and send a message on what he is looking for and request for quotes.

This message is sent to all Companies who are premium in these categories. The companies will receive the request sent more info and their respective quote competing to make this sales which if they were not on bizbook platform, they would not have got.

The user starts receiving message on his personal email which is configured on his mobile and can relax and make a decision which companies or store is worth visiting. He is no longer running around not knowing where to go.

Message : Push Notification

The message tab is where the users who have installed bizbook mobile apps will received messages from bizbook. This function will have to be used wisely. We do not want people to be spammed. We need people who have installed our app, to expect reliable and valuable messages from us.

For example if a company comes to us and says for tomorrow only we are having 50 % discount between 10:00 to 11:00. The team will decide if this is valuable information and accept to send a push message via the system. The request from companies will certainly be payable.

This function will be coupled with a SHARE BUTTON FACEBOOK / SHARE BUTTON TWITTER. For example if User A gets this message << BUY ONE GET ONE FREE @ MCDONALD for next HOUR: GABORONE.>> All person having bizbook mobile app will receive this message. Suppose we have 10 000 people have the apps installed.

As more and more people spend more and more time using apps , push notifications should be use in such a way that they must be sent out sparingly using short, punchy, attention grabbing text that clearly conveys a call to action.
