Screen Utils

This app offers quick actions, Quick Settings tiles, and home-screen widgets to control rotation, screen off, lock, and brightness/volume without relying on the physical buttons.

## Features

**Full rotate** Forces full-sensor rotation (including 180°).

**Keep on** Keeps the screen always on.

**Drive mode** Maxes out the screen brightness and every audio stream (media, system, notification, ring, call, and alarm), and turns the night light (blue-light filter) and system dark mode off for maximum visibility. Disabling it restores every value you had before.

**Turn off screen** Turns the screen off instantly without using the power button.

**Lock screen** Locks the devicer. This means that, only the next time it is unlocked, biometrics cannot be used, only the pattern or PIN will work (it is not a permanent change).

**Glass screen** Places a transparent overlay on top of the screen that blocks touch input. Useful, for example, to keep watching a YouTube video without accidental taps pausing or interrupting playback.

Accessibility Service Disclosure

BlockScreen uses the Android Accessibility Service for one purpose only: to perform the system lock-screen action when you tap the "Turn Off Screen" button in the app, the Widget or Quick Settings tile. This is equivalent to pressing the physical power button and allows the screen to lock while preserving biometric (fingerprint/face) unlock on Android 9 and above.

The Accessibility Service in BlockScreen:

- Does not read, monitor, or collect any screen content

- Does not capture keystrokes, passwords, or personal data

- Does not access content from other apps

- Does not transmit any data anywhere

- Performs only a single system action: locking the screen

You can enable or disable this service at any time in Settings → Accessibility → BlockScreen.
