For some birds, if humans approach while raising their young, the parents may leave the nest and abandon it. Even if they do not abandon the nest and return to the nest, it is not uncommon for the eggs and chicks to cool down and die after being away for a while. Therefore, actions such as approaching the nest, staying near the nest for a long time, peering in from above, or using a camera flash can cause stress to the parent birds, which may result in them abandoning their young.

Also, please be extremely careful and considerate when observing birds that breed closer to people than usual (e.g. swallows), such as not getting too close to their nests and keeping observations for short periods of time. .
