BigDataAfrica is committed to filling the data gap in Africa by providing you with interesting and useful data and insights in real-time.

The BigDataAfrica app is also a tool for direct citizen engagement. Freely available for download, and operating as a two-way information highway, it is a platform through which citizens can express their needs and communicate their frustrations in a safe forum. Users can upload photos, text and videos, and have instant access to BDA's archive of similar data resources. We in turn at BDA communicate these needs in the form of data to policy-makers, thereby creating channels for what we describe as “people-focused policy-making”.
