Monkey D. Luffy is a fictional character and the main protagonist in the anime and manga series One Piece by Eiichiro Oda. He is the son of the Revolutionary Forces commander Monkey D. Dragon, the famous naval grandson of Monkey D. Garp, the adopted son of the mountain bandit, Curly Dadan, and the foster brother of Portgas D. Ace the "Fire Boxer" and Sabo .
