Agriculture Application For ***Swaasam***

This application is specially developed for the Shaastra(IIT Madras) Agriculture is the back bone of the Indian economy. The agriculture sector has been neglected by us and our policy makers, even though around 60% of Indian population is depended on this sector. This is your opportunity to make an impact in the lives of the farmers.

FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations) functioning as core actors of supply chain, runs their agribusiness through various process heads viz., ‘inputs preparation protocols’, ‘procurement’, ‘value addition’, ‘marketing’, ‘sales’ etc.… Communicating information across these process flows require open feedback at few ends and closed feedback at other ends. Towards efficient management of an FPO, they requested for the technological support towards developing an app to integrate activities within an FPO. Therefore a typical app which could facilitate ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is a producer organization is necessitated. As one of the capacity building measures, it was decided to develop and provide such an app on a pilot basis to selected FPOs for implementation and integration.
