VASTBlu is a software platform that gives residential and business employers, access to profiled blue-collar resources in the vicinity. The blue-collar resources provide services such as housekeeping, pool pump repairs, plumbing, gardening, gate motor repairs and many others. VASTBlu enables blue-collar candidates to create a dynamic profile of their skills and work experience. They can share their profile with potential employers using various communication and social networks. Their performance is rated by employers that they have done work for. This in a way, begins to formalize their work experience and activities. It shapes their attitude, behavior and approach to their work. In essence, VASTBlu resources will tend to have a more professional attitude to their work than other candidates. Employers benefit through their direct access to resources. They can select their preferred candidates from a number of well-profiled resources and engage them directly. Secondly employers can negotiate cost, timeframes and other terms directly with the candidates. Employers are able to post job requirements and invite candidates. Alternatively they can post on the requirements on a jobs board and allow candidates to bid.
