TopNotif is a companion app for your device's notification experience. It allows you to preview your notifications with toast balloon messages. It can also read out notification contents and incoming Caller IDs (not supported on Android 9.0 Pie and above).

IMPORTANT NOTICES

Android Pie (9.0) and above functionality limitations

Due to tightened security measures, these devices no longer allow TopNotif to access incoming calls and Caller ID information. Thus, the reading out of Caller ID will not work on these devices.

Android Oreo (8.0) and above functionality limitations

As a security measure, these devices no longer support any application drawing on top of the lock-screen. Thus, TopNotif would not be able to display any toast balloon or speech mode reminders when your device is locked.

Device Administrator permission

This permission is required if you wish to enable to option to turn off the screen after waking up the device to display any notification.

Troubleshooting Text-to-Speech

If the Text-To-Speech on your device sounds weird or muffled, its probably because your device is using a third party Text-To-Speech engine or your target language is set incorrectly. If you totally do not hear anything, your device might even not come with a Text-To-Speech engine installed. Please download the official Google Text-To-Speech engine from the Play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.tts&hl=en and follow the instructions to set it as the default engine. You will also need to manually stop and restart TopNotif service for the change to take effect.
