Tooth Hero is the FIRST interactive toothbrush timer for kids that can be played with every toothbrush and is FREE to download. Our mission is to engage and amuse children to brush their teeth for two minutes twice/day and help children learn why they should brush their teeth through our fun animations.

Tooth Hero is a game set in Molar the Magnificent’s Tooth Kingdom. The evil Jack the Plaque and his minions are ready to attack teeth in your mouth every day…unless you BRUSH them away. Molar has help from his Tooth Star friends, Flora the Tooth Fairy, Wanda the Wisdom Tooth, and K-Nine the Dog. The four of them combat plaque by teaching children about the importance of brushing, flossing, using mouthwash and white strips. The result is that children will understand how to take care of their dental hygiene and parents will have an easier time getting children to brush.

How Tooth Hero Works: Tooth Hero uses the front-facing camera on a smartphone to recognize children’s faces and their brushing strokes. The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends that people should brush for two minutes in each brushing session and brush twice every day. Tooth Hero instructs users to brush in each battle station (or quadrant) for 30 seconds at a time. Tooth-dar will show the user where to brush, the Plaque Cam will show the plaque monster that the user will be defeating through augmented reality, and the Weapon Meter will charge up by defeating plaque monsters.

In each stage, the user will face off against Jack the Plaque and his minions: Cav and Ginger. Users can pick their favorite Tooth Star and go from being a Tooth Cadet to becoming a Tooth Hero! Each time a user plays, the user earns experience and coins. Experience and coins can be redeemed for new animations, weapons, and filters to make Tooth Hero more interactive.

During the game, users start with a Toothpaste Torpedo. As the user plays, he/she will unlock more weapons:

• Floss Arrows & Floss Harpoon

• Mouthwash Wave & Mouthwash Cyclone

• Whitestrip Whip & Whitening Lightning

• Golden Toothpaste Torpedoes & Toothpaste Cannon Bombs

• Mystical Toothbrush Sword

Tooth Hero has filters to unlock in the game too. Our first filter is King Molar the Magnificent’s crown. We will have new filters in the next update!

In Fall of 2018, Tooth Hero will be running a series of fundraisers for Elementary School PTAs. The fundraiser is called a Brush-a-Thon, and schools will be participating in our pledge drives that will benefit the school and help children build healthy habits. Tooth Hero has formed partnerships with health clinics, including the Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinic and after-school programs, including Star Education. We have run Brush-a-Thons in coordination with schools in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, and we will expand in the 2018-19 school year.
