About Laps
Lap timer & track-day logbook. See where you lost time vs your own best.
Laps is a track-day lap timer and logbook for drivers who want to remember what they actually did out on track — and see where they can improve.
Built around two simple ideas:
• Never lose a session. Laps records locally first, so you can hit record without an account and without signal. Your recap is waiting when you get back to the pits.
• Remember the car, not just the lap. Every session keeps your tires, pressures, fuel, setup, and notes — so next time you can see what changed, not just what time you ran.
WHAT LAPS DOES
• Detects your track and times your laps off the start/finish line
• Shows sector deltas against YOUR OWN best lap — not a leaderboard of strangers
• Lets you scrub your whole lap second by second: speed, g-forces, and sectors
• Keeps a garage and per-session setup log
• Shows your real line on the map for 150+ tracks, and works offline in the paddock
• Optionally reads heart rate from Health Connect to show vitals alongside your laps
HONEST BY DESIGN
Laps uses your phone's GPS, so it labels data quality honestly. It is a training and review aid — NOT official timing — and it is intended for closed-course track days and driver education only. Always follow your event organizer's rules for in-car devices.
Laps is free to record. An optional Pro subscription unlocks advanced analysis.
Not affiliated with any track, club, or sanctioning body.

Your garage, and honest lap timing.
Build sheets for every car — setup, power, tires, notes — with version history so you can compare how a change actually felt.
Live engine data on the record screen: RPM, throttle and coolant from an OBD-II adapter, now working on iPhone too with a Bluetooth LE adapter.
Tracks without map data now say so before you record, instead of quietly logging no laps.
Plus a smoother first run, and a fix for sign-ups that could stall.
