A new way to share your location with friends while retaining full control.

An irritation that many people are faced with is to arrive home from town to find that a friend has also spent the day aimlessly wandering the streets. This mainly affects city dwellers within a specific age range (16 to 23 years old). This is a constantly recycling demographic with a perennial problem. In Dublin, for example, even being in town with the intention of meeting up with a friend it is easy to lose someone in the warren of streets. Serendipitous encounters are highly improbable.

The solution to this problem is a location based app which notifies the user of the close proximity of personal friends. The app gives the users control of how and when their location is shared with family and friends. Either user will have the option to remain anonymous when they are notified that a friend is near, giving them more personal control over their social interactions. This would eliminate the issue of unwanted encounters at inopportune moments.
