NoRisk Parental Control

Keep your Child safe by knowing who's around him.

NoRisk Parental Control was developed by a team of students as their project,

the main purpose of this application was to help parents keep their children safe by being informed who and how often their children communicate with.

The application requires two android phones (One for parent, one for child), after simple setup process, parents will see what numbers their children receive calls from, who they call, who sends them SMS, and who they send SMS to.

The application does not invade childs privacy (contents of SMS are not sent, though such feature may become available eventually - Optional).

Features:

-See incoming/outgoing calls/sms from another android device.

-Website control panel (allows parents to browse call/sms logs from computer using simple website)

-Childs phone sends reports every 10 entries (10 calls or sms or mix of both - if child has 6 calls and 4 sms, the reports are sent)

-Child can submit reports at any time by pefroming simple two-click action.

-Parents phone checks for new logs every 30 minutes (notification arrives if new logs are available)

-Parent can check for new logs by clicking button.

-Filter list of logs by Calls or by SMS.

The application is in production and may be updated soon with new features.

Planned features are:

-Blacklist numbers (allows parents to keep track of specific numbers contacting child as well as prevent it)

-Check-in feature (allows parents to request password protected check-in at specific time)

-Allow to use application using only one android device (Child) while parent sees logs on website.

-Bad/threatening language filtering.

-SMS content retrieval.

-Location reporting.

All of the above features will be optional, and can be enabled/disabled once required.

Bugs are possible, please report any bugs you find.

If during sign-up process it appears that either of the phones is stuck on black screen, just delete App Data via

Settings -> Applications/Apps -> NoRisk -> Delete Data and repeat sign up process following instructions on the website.

Note: You need internet connection to use application.
