Fortnite v26.30 Update: What's New in Fortnitemares 2023 Event

Epic Games has announced that the Halloween-themed Fortnitemares event will make a comeback in 2023 with Fortnite v26.30. They have also confirmed exciting new rewards and skins for popular characters. The continued success of Fortnite's live service content delivery model, particularly as a beloved Battle Royale game, is largely responsible for this upcoming event.

In addition to frequent updates and special content for different seasons, Epic Games has successfully incorporated a wide range of intellectual properties into Fortnite. This includes various video game series, movies, TV shows, as well as popular characters from Marvel and DC comics.

Fortnitemares 2023 Event: Returning Weapons & Items

In addition to introducing exciting new items such as Thorne's Vampiric Sword and Wood Stake Shotgun, Fortnitemares is also bringing back some old favorites like the Pumpkin Launcher, Witch Broom, and Sanguine Sweets (Candy Corn, Pepper Mints, Hop Drops, and Jelly Beans) from previous editions. Additionally, players can take part in missions for Horde Rush and Fortnitemares which offer various rewards upon completing 5 tasks or more. These rewards include Back Blings, Icons, and Emotes Wraps among other cool items.

By completing the Fortnitemares quests, players have the opportunity to obtain rewards within the game. Each individual quest completed will earn players experience points (XP), and by finishing a certain number of these quests, they can unlock extra spooky content.

Complete 5 Fortnitemares Quests to earn the Bat Royale Back Bling and a Cat Banner Icon.
To obtain the Sweet! Emote, Phantasmic Fall Contrail, and Hypno-Bat Spray, you need to finish a total of 15 Fortnitemares Quests.
Complete 25 Fortnitemares Quests to earn the Revenant Rider Glider, Within the Sanctum Loading Screen, and Rise of the Revenant Lobby Track.

Fortnitemares 2023 Event: Horde Rush Quests & Rewards

Horde Rush, a special event that can only be played once, has returned! Join forces with a team and defend various locations against waves of Cube Monsters. Your goal is to survive until you defeat the Final Boss. Earn points by defeating monsters and achieving combos or gathering score multipliers. You can access Horde Rush through Explore mode, and it will be available until Fortnitemares ends on November 3, 2023, at 2 AM EST.

During the Fortnitemares event, Horde Rush introduces its own set of challenges that players can undertake. These quests will remain available until the end of the event and offer XP rewards upon completion. By fulfilling specific amounts of these quests, players can also unlock new items for their Locker in-game.

Complete 1 Horde Rush Quest to earn The Murk Wrap.
Complete 4 Horde Rush Quests to earn the Heart-o-Lantern Emoticon.
Complete 7 Horde Rush Quests to earn the Batwing Bonespike Pickaxe.

In addition to everything mentioned, the Item Shop in Fortnitemares 2023 will feature both new and familiar Outfits. Some of the new ones are Seth, a mischievous character wrapped in rapscallion attire, Bogstick, a muddy fish-like creature called muckfish, and Phantom Meowscles which is an intimidating combination of cats.
