Epic Games is known for its passion for featuring various aspects of popular culture, including the latest TV series or trending artists. For instance, Fortnite has brought back the Coachella Music and Arts Festival 2023 with more music-related activities and cosmetic items that players can enjoy. If they go to Coachella Island, gamers will earn XP points and gain access to new cosmetics. Furthermore, those who join Battle Royale mode can listen to Icon Radio to get a sneak peek at what Coachella 2023 has in store.
Fortnite will feature a Coachella 2023-inspired island made in Creative 2.0.
A new feature on Fortnite called Coachella Island has been developed by Alliance Studios and Epic Games. This experience can be found in the Discover section from April 14th at 3 PM ET until April 28th, 2023 at noon. Players have access to various parts of the island including an Art Park and team vs. team mini-games while discovering hidden treasures during their exploration.
To get to the island, gamers can visit the Discovery page and click on Island Code. Then they should type in 5449-4207-1280 before hitting enter. Alternatively, they might find it listed under "Epic's Picks" on that same page. Once there, players are free to join forces with other users and participate in a variety of activities such as playing games or listening to music from Porter Robinson who is one of Coachella performers.
Complete the Fortnite x Coachella 2023 quests to win special musical and cosmetic rewards
The Coachella Quests are a series of challenges that can be completed on Coachella Island. These tasks will test players' parkour skills, challenge them with various mini-games, and require them to dance energetically. In honor of the two weekends of Coachella, there will be an update to the quests between weekend one and weekend two. The initial set of quests is available in-game from April 14 at 3 PM ET until April 28, 2023, at noon ET; while the updated version will go live in-game starting on April 21 at noon ET through April 28th also ending at noon ET.
Fortnite x Coachella 2023 quest rewards
By accomplishing various tasks assigned in Coachella, you can gain experience points and receive exclusive items as a reward.
- Hi-Fi Cacti Spray (Earnable from either the first or second set of Quests)
- Look At The Sky Lobby Track (Earnable from either the first or second set of Quests)
- Cact-eye Emoticon (Earnable from either the first or second set of Quests)
- Coachella Sunset Spray (Earnable from the second set of Quests only)
In order to receive the prizes, you must link your Discord and Epic Games accounts by completing these instructions:
- Join an official Fortnite Discord server or add the Fortnite bot to your personal Discord.
- Check the Coachella quest page in the Fortnite Discord.
- Click the “Start” button in the channel.
- Link your Epic Games account here using your login information.
- Once connected, you will receive your first task in Discord.
- Complete one task to earn the Coachella Island banner icon.
- Complete three tasks to unlock the Head in the Cloud emoticon.
Participate in the Good Vibes Fortography 2023 Event and share your experience in Fortnite
If you're a fan of the game and want to get your screenshots recognized, you can join in on the Good Vibes Fortography 2023 social media event. Those who are currently playing at Coachella Island's Grove should share their pictures using #Fortography on Twitter or post them with "Fortography" flair on the r/FortNiteBR subreddit. The most impressive images will be displayed by Epic in Art Park from April 21st until April 28th for everyone to see.
Furthermore, Epic is offering Icon Radio where Coachella artists' songs will be played until May 12. This provides an opportunity for players to enjoy the excitement of Coachella in their own homes with audio and visual features.
Amazing cosmetics are up for grabs during the event
From Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 8 PM ET onwards, you can purchase the Sunset Alto and Desert Dawn Lyric Outfits from the Item Shop for your parties. The Sunset Alto outfit comes with accessories like a reactive music back bling called the Sunset Swirl Back Bling and Crystalline Cactus Pickaxe. It also has an alternative style known as Aurora Visualizer that creates a summer atmosphere by reacting to the music.
The Desert Dawn Lyric Outfit is influenced by the desert skies and palm trees of the festival. It includes matching accessories like the Airflow Vibes Back Bling and Electropalm Staff Pickaxe. Additionally, it has an alternative style with a music-responsive Aurora Visualizer. The Desert Breeze Wrap can also be used to create a complete music-reactive set for players.
Moreover, players can purchase the Wilder and Poet Outfits that resulted from Coachella's partnership with Fortnite. The original Alto and Lyric Outfits will also be accessible in the Item Shop beginning on April 13. Additionally, two emotes - Ask Me and Slide Stride - that showcase music by Bad Bunny and Burna Boy, respectively, who are set to perform at Coachella 2023, will also be available for purchase in the Item Shop starting at 8 PM ET on April 13th so that players can enjoy some musical entertainment while playing their game.
