Thot is an AI-powered assistant that floats over every app on your Android device. One tap gives you explanations, summaries, drafted replies, and custom AI tasks — all powered by whatever is currently on your screen.

Most AI apps make you copy-paste. Thot reads the screen for you.

🤖 HOW IT WORKS

• An Accessibility Service reads the visible text from your current app window.

• A floating button (overlay) appears over every app — tap it any time.

• Choose Explain, Summarize, Suggest Reply, Write for me, or enter a Custom task.

• Thot dispatches your request to your chosen AI provider and returns the answer inline.

🔌 MULTI-PROVIDER SUPPORT

Thot works with:

• Anthropic Claude (claude-sonnet) — nuanced reasoning, long context

• OpenAI GPT-4o — fast, capable, widely supported

• Local (offline) — rule-based fallback, no internet required

Thot activates over Gmail, WhatsApp, Chrome, LinkedIn, YouTube, banking apps, PDF readers — any app on your phone. If there is text on the screen, Thot can help.

No location data. No contacts. No camera. No microphone.

🛡️ PRIVACY BY DESIGN

• API keys are stored locally in SharedPreferences — never transmitted to Thot servers (there are none).

• Screen text is sent only to the AI provider you choose, under your own API key.

• Thot collects only crash diagnostics via Firebase Crashlytics. You can opt out in Settings.
