At Monrovia BSA Troop 66, we have a saying - we put the Outing in Scouting with No Scout Left Behind! This is a troop for boys and supporting adults who want to work diligently on advancement through the scout ranks and be active in the outdoors. We are a "full-participation" troop by Scouts and their families with boy and adult leaders.

Monrovia Boy Scout Troop 66 is part of the Lucky Baldwin District in the Greater Los Angeles Area Council of the Boys Scouts of America. The troop is chartered by The American Legion-Monrovia Post 44, located at 1307 S. Myrtle Ave., Monrovia, California 91016, and is supported by the Vineyard Church of Monrovia.

Troop 66 was Founded February 2017 is actively growing in the Monrovia Community being fed by the bother Pack 66. Our troop follows in the same rich leadership that overflows from Pack 66 and invites boys, ages 10-18, to learn everyday life skills, as well as outdoor and camping proficiency, while practicing leadership and service in the community. We provide boys with positive role models, education, and chances to learn and practice leadership skills. The program also develops a wide base of skills for boys to use throughout life (e.g., first aid, citizenship).

We welcome visitors and encourage you to see our Scouts in action during one of our weekly meetings. The troop normally meets weekly on Monday nights at 7:00 p.m., in the main auditorium at the church. Further, we initiate or participate in many other activities, including a variety of service projects to contribute to our community. Since 2017, we have led the effort to train boys in skills that will serve them in life. In this troop, boys learn basic outdoor skills, how to be a good citizen and good leader, and learn self-reliance. Scouts will be prepared to live a more productive and fulfilling life.

OUR MISSION

Scouting is a values-based program with its own code of conduct. The Scout Oath and law help instill the values of good conduct and honesty. A boy in a Scout troop will learn skills that will serve him for life. He will learn basic outdoor skills, first aid, citizenship training, leadership skills, self-reliance, and how to get along with others. It is the goal of the troop that all boys advance as far as possible on the Eagle trail.

Troop meetings take place weekly on Monday nights from 7-8:30 pm at Monrovia Vineyard Church.
