This entertaining interactive application lets you explore a selection of paintings and helps you to find the locations represented. Choose a work, then go to the view taken by the painter which has been tagged on the map. Take a photo, and in comparing your image with the artist’s own interpretation you will be able to establish the changes in the landscape, or its remarkable preservation.

Functionalities :

• Discover a selection of 30 paintings from both exhibitions and their painters (Monet, Cezanne, Signac, Matisse, Derain, Braque, …)

• Localize the place where the painter put his easel and augmented reality available

• Share your pictures in the gallery of the application and on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

• Informations about the exposition in both museums.

The exhibition is organised in two parts, one in Aix-en-Provence and the other in Marseilles, with a total of two hundred canvases painted from 1880 to 1960 on show. These paintings reflect the endless search for new forms and colours undertaken by these artists.
