Knoknok is the app for roommates.

Knoknok acts like a message on your dorm room's whiteboard, or a digital "sock on a door". Make a Knoknok room, invite your roommates, and you're ready to go. Set a status for your room like "do not enter", and anyone with access to your Knoknok room can see see it as soon as they open their app, and know not to enter the room. No filling your inbox with messages asking if anyone's in your room, and no annoying your roommate telling them you're sleeping if they won't be back all night.
