Your personalized notice board showing events and activities in IIT Madras

A mobile app that functions like your own personalized notice board keeping you up to date with activities in IIT Madras. Use this application to also create your own flex and send it instantly to everyone in campus. Tell everyone about an event, club activity, lecture or even your own seminar - bye bye poster printing !

Features:

1. Favorites

This tab shows you all the events, activities and programs matching your interests. These are arranged according to date with the activities scheduled for the day shown first. A summary of the activity is shown, displaying important information such as title, date, duration and venue. Clicking on this summary box expands it to display more content such as description, contact number and web link. Clicking once again collapses the box. Scrolling down displays events scheduled for the future.

2. All Flex

This tab shows you all the events, activities and programs happening on that particular day and scheduled for the future. A summary of the activities are displayed that expands on clicking to reveal more information. All the completed activities and events can be found by clicking on the past events located in the side drawer. In case you find a flex interesting while browsing through the all flex tab, tapping the heart button will send it to the favorites. Clicking on the heart button next to the category within a flex will mark it as your interest and you will start getting notifications.

3. Create flex

If there is an event or activity you wish to announce to the world and find it difficult to print posters, distribute flyers and hijack hostel notice boards, then this feature is for you. Simply fill in the details, specify the category and broadcast it to everyone with the click of a button. You have created your first flex !

4. Calendar sync

See something very interesting on Flexboard? Then set a reminder by clicking on the clock button below the flex. The main contents of the flex like title, venue and time are added to your calendar. You can then set a reminder or use maps to find the venue.

5. Share flex

Sharing the contents of a flex is now easier that ever. Click on the share button below the flex and choose the medium of share like email, Whatsapp etc.

6. Settings

This tab lets you modify your interests. Click to favorite, marked by the fuller heart. Click once again to deselect.

Event coordinators can use this tab to specify details of the category of events they coordinate.

Whenever a flex is created, you are notified of it only if it falls under your interest category. Also such flex are compiled to form the contents of the favorites tab. Remember to favorite a club or group to keep yourself updated with their functioning.
