Ethics Of Debate In Islam

Debate is healthy for the Ummah, but only within the framework of the Shariah.

In our discussions and debates we must follow all of the Islamic Adab or etiquettes laid down in the Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah. Unfortunately the Muslims of today have allowed ego to play a role within a matter of the Deen of Islam revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). This short reminder is for those seekers of truth who genuinely seek knowledge for the sake of Allah.
