"Guidelines for the graphic design of the musical text"

Proposed guidance on this day is considered one of the most influential musical benefits chart. The original version was published in 1951 as "Manual registration of music manuscripts" under the general editorship of the venerable editor Muzgiz A. Kartseva (1882-1953). In 1959, Yu and S. Olenev Pavchinsky created a revised version of the "Guide", released under the new, current name and showing on the front page of the three authors. In 1973 there was a second, expanded and revised edition of "Guidelines for the graphic design of the musical text." Since then, the book is out of print and has long been a rarity.

Over the past decade, the domestic Sheet publishing truly revolutionary changes that have affected the general way in the area, and production technology. The market flooded with musical literature, produced many new problems firms have undergone a major transformation prevailed before the major publishers. As a result, largely disrupted continuity, tradition wavered. Under these conditions, particularly lack of benefits, which could contribute to the maintenance of the publishing culture .. Orientation of this kind are also indispensable for teaching related courses in music education, and to self: it has grown for several generations of musicians, do not keep this book hands.

In this paper we summarize the experience of domestic music publishers and fixed rules and principles that have enduring value.

It is hoped that this book will become a reference for a new generation of music publishers - editors, proofreaders, typesetters, as well as composers, musicologists, students, and students of the institution.
